On the occasion of the 15th International Wine-Award in Zurich, «Prix Vetropack» has been awarded in September 2008 for the seventh time. The Jury gave the «Great Gold» to 16 wines - the greatest honour in this competition. Out of their middle came also the winner of «Prix Vetropack», the Merlot «Agra-Collina d'Oro» from Azienda Vitivinicola Pelossi & Co, Pazzallo. This award allows the winner to appear on the market with an innovative, personalized bottle-design - and Sacha Pelossi lets his whole region take part in his success:
«With a special, exclusive bottle the winemakers of my region could even more profile themselves with their wines», he thought loudly in the past and today his thoughts are real. On the occasion of the 25-Years-Jubilee of AVVT «Associazione viticoltori vinificatori ticinesi», in November 2009, going along with a special degustation-parcours at Via Nassa in Lugano, the new, plain and elegant bottle was presented.
Analogical designed by an over 100 years old Ticino's wine bottle from Pelossis cellar, Jean-Franck Haspel (Designer at Vetropack) took a first step into regional identity. The AVVT slogan «l'arte di coltivare il vino» and the website «viticoltori.ch» in the relief-kind scripture-ribbon within the lower part of the bottle resembles a signature and leaves a lot of space in the upper part for labels from the individual Viticoltori.
This bottle in the colour cuvée, developed further out of the form called Bordeaux Europe, is impressive by its clear and elegant shape and will find a definite place in the shelves of wine merchants and -consumers.
